Built to work, the BulkSpread carries massive amounts of material that can be applied at excessive rates. With a 1000mm chain conveyor and a huge bin capacity, you, the farmer, can stay out for longer on your lands. The BulkSpread easily and effectively handles large scaled spreading jobs of organic materials, moderate rates of fertiliser, or moderate to heavy rates of lime and gypsum.
The additional beaters secured to the spinner shafts help to break down any large chunks that can be found in organic materials, resulting in the production of more unformed material that assists with an overall better spread pattern. The powerful 50cc hydraulic spinner motors make even the largest jobs possible, with the robust, welded construction of the BulkSpreader making for a strong spreader that can handle the toughest of jobs. For small to medium-sized jobs, consider the EconoSpread, or view all of Radium’s spreading equipment.
Crafted to have a delicate touch, the CompacSpread is the perfect solution for orchards and vineyards. With reduced dimensions and a compact design, this versatile spreading machine easily navigates between the tight spaces between vines and trees. Spread your choice of materials across your orchard and vineyard, or distribute it evenly and accurately underneath low foliage, where it is most needed.
This is the ideal orchard and vineyard spreader, as its reduced frame means little damage is done to the plants, a common by-product of larger equipment. The operational ability of the CompacSpread remains unaffected despite its smaller size, with performance being at its optimal. A welded construction gives the machine the strength to yield the best possible results and the specially treated and painted body helps to prevent rust and corrosion.
The EconoSpread was created as an economically viable option for the small to medium-scale farmer. Built to spread a full range of materials, this machine can handle anything from extremely low rates of fertiliser to medium rates of organic material, as well as high rates of lime and gypsum. With the ability to control the spreading rate, this equipment is ideal for spreading jobs on pastures, or row crops.
With a welded construction of both sheet and plate metal, together with strong and flexible chassis, the EconoSpread is durable and built to be long-lasting. The high flotation wheels provide added traction, whilst the spinner motors mean the motor speed can be easily adjusted to an optimal spread pattern for the chosen material. Within the range of spreading equipment that Radium Engineering provides, the EconoSpread is the answer to all your small to medium-scale spreading work.
Radium’s Pasturators were engineered with dairy farms in mind. Its original purpose was to break up compacted soil just below the grazing plane on planted pastures. The design has proven far more versatile and its use in natural pastures, on instant lawn, or for small-scale ripping, is becoming increasingly popular.
Coulters slice a neat path ahead of each shank as they pass through the pasture. The shanks are designed to lift the soil beneath the surface of the grazing and/or pasture without causing any damage to the surface crop. Behind the shank, a roller firms out the surface and closes any furrows that might be left in its wake.
Regular use of a Radium Pasturator aerates the soil and increases water movement and penetration, improving root development and resulting in a greater crop yield. This makes it the ideal addition to any farm’s agricultural equipment. A good Pasturator is essential for reversing the soil compaction caused by livestock and vehicle movement over agricultural lands.

Radium Engineering has joined forces with world-renowned Canadian manufacturers Schulte, importing their Rotary Cutters and now also their Rock Pickers and Windrowers. These rocking picking equipment are ideal for any road maintenance or rocking picking jobs on the farm.
The Rock Picker gathers up the windrowed stones into a hopper to cart them off the field. The tine bars are spring loaded – when there is a large rock, the spring stretches to absorb the shock loading. These units windrow scattered rock from 5cm to 69cm diameter, into neat rows, greatly reducing the time required to clear rock and debris from the field.
Fields full of rocks are a menace for all farmers – some might even feel there is a new crop of stones each season. This creates havoc on harrowing, harvesting and mowing machines. Due to the increasing costs of manual labour over the last couple of years, mechanical stone and rock picking have become a critical part of farming. This increases the lifespan of other implements as well as productivity, and helps to save time.
Standard Grate & Reel Good for windrowed rocks or all around stone picking (Grate & reel with 0.95cm thick square batts and 13.97cm spacing)
Minimum Till Wide Grate & Reel Good for spot picking in fields where you want to reduce trash and residue picked (Grate & reel with 0.95cm thick square batts and no till grate with 8.33cm spacing)
Heavy Duty Grate & Reel Designed to pick large heavy windrowed rocks (Grate & reel with hardened 450 steel & replaceable grate teeth with 5.39cm spacing)
Adopting all the characteristics of the Flex-Wing Rotary Cutters, Fixed Knife Technology is introduced by fitting two blades, one above another, on each side of the cutter bar that replaces the jumper pan unit. Stationary fixed knives are then strategically positioned under the deck of the cutter, whereby the two knives pass over and under the fixed knife, slamming the crop residue into the fixed knife. This material is then broken up and distributed evenly across the work width of the machine by making use of baffle plates. Regardless of the type of cutting job occurs on your farm, Radium Engineering has an efficient and reliable cutting solution to get the job done.
The points of each rotating blade split in two and pass by both sides of a fixed blade. The cut plant material or crop residues is then pulled in and carved up. This cutting machinery is constant and reliable, which makes it ideal for cutting large areas of row crops.
The fixed blades are mounted on shear bolts, while all rotating blades are protected by slip clutches. It is just as handy for fruit and grape farmers that want to shred branches and leaves for compost during the pruning season.

Radium Engineering has introduced a new range of Flex-Wing Rotary Cutters from the Canadian manufacturers Schulte. The Flex-Wing Rotary Cutters offer practicality when it comes to large areas of various materials in a multitude of terrains and circumstances.
Whether the farmer is cutting grass or wheat straw, or maneuvering through vineyards and orchards, the solution is now offered with various features and accessories. The material can be evenly distributed over the working width of the rotary cutter, which enables the material to be evenly dried and equally broken down.
Due to the innovative design, minimal horsepower is required to work a greater area and to achieve huge cost reductions. The Flex-Wing design encourages a constant and even cut over the entire work width of the machine, regardless of the terrain as each section independently cuts its area without leaving an overlap.
Also take a look at other rotary cutter, like the Schulte’s Fixed Knife Technology. For those with smaller-scale enterprises, Radium’s own ProCut Rotary Cutter and Econocut Cutter offer a slightly smaller set of equipment with the same standard of quality.

The Pivoting Rock Windrower is designed to windrow small to medium rocks with ease, forming them into neat, uniform rows which are ready for pick-up by a rock picker. Roots, stumps, chips and other debris from land clearing operations can also be windrowed. As an added bonus, the Windrower has a roto-tilling action which tends to break up lumps and level the ground. Its added tooth length increases the combing action of the rake and allows for superior windrowing of rocks. Rural municipalities and counties use it to reclaim gravel from roadsides, proving the machine’s rugged construction and durability.
This implement employs a side-delivery frame arrangement which allows the operator to better control the size of windrows, regardless of rock conditions. The windrower’s patented floating drum arrangement allows the wheels to be placed closer to the windrower drum, resulting in excellent ground-following characteristics. Power is supplied to the windrower drum via a heavy duty PTO drive line, which includes a slip clutch and shear bolt arrangement for protection against excessive shock loads. The final drive chain is totally enclosed for longer service life.
